We are excited to finally show you guys something we have been working on for the last several weeks: our newest iPhone experience.
Our first version was a stepping stone to our vision of building the best way to find or list a pad, and today’s launch helps us get one step closer.
So, what’s new?
A Simplified Search
Between the feedback we’ve received and our personal trials playing with the app in the wild, we’ve reduced the taps it takes to focus in on exactly what you’re looking for. The new search combines two pages in the previous version: the map and pad filters into one easy screen.
Improved Pad View
Now it’s even easier to get more details about places you’re interested in. We combined the favourite, share, and map buttons into one convenient area, and made contacting the lister a cleaner experience.
Also new in this version is a favorite counter on every pad to let you know how many other renters think it’s special.
Easier Listing & Effortless Management
The quickest way to list just got even faster. Drag the map, select your pad’s details, and give renters a short description of what makes your pad rad. We also redesigned the photo management flow into just one central area where you can take new photos, add from your albums, and even re-arrange them.
All your pads can be edited in the new Manage screen. Need to change some information or add more photos? No problem. You can even see how many renters have viewed and favorited your pad.
We reduced the visual noise across the entire experience. The yellow in the navigation bar has been stripped away to let the photos really stand out, and the important actions are now emphasized so you can get around easier.
The menu has also been refined to just 3 main items – Explore, List, and Other Stuff. We really wanted to focus on making sure all the tools you use to find a pad are the most important in the app’s hierarchy. Your Favorites are now accessible right from the main Explore screen. Your Profile, something you rarely update or change, has been moved to the top right of the menu.
If you’re in Los Angeles or San Francisco, you can start looking for a pad right away! And if you’re not from those areas, we’d still love to hear what you think of this new look and feel. Check it out today.
